The CRPA participates in the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation's Adopt-A-Stream program and has adopted the U.S. Forest Service public access area in Bath County, known as the Walton Tract. At least twice a year, usually in the spring and fall, CRPA volunteers cover this and other areas and pick up litter along or in the river. You don't have to be a CPRA member to participate in these cleanups and they are routinely posted in advance under events on this website. You can sign up on this site to volunteer for these activities. Also, if you live along the river, please contact us with any hours you spend cleaning up the river in your area. We can use these hours to better show the involvement of our citizens in keeping the CpR clean.
